Ever wonder what an author sees when they look at their sales graph? It looks pretty cool until you see the scale on the left.
Yeah. that first number below 1 is 250 000. There’s a lot of books out there. Every sale counts!

Sometimes it is easy to miss a post or a promo, so I’m leaving last week’s in for you reading enjoyment. Next week, to kick off National Poetry Month, I have a conversation with poet Juanet Martinez.
Had some positive feedback on this short story:
The story behind Free Book Friday:
I’ve met many authors and readers during my time marketing, cross-promoting, and blogging. I think writers have a responsibility to inform readers about all the indie authors out there in the very crowded world of book publishing. You can’t do it alone, and why would you when you have a supportive group available?
Readers don’t just read one author – they stick with their favorite genres. There lies the power in cross-promotion. If one of my readers buys a book from an author I promote, then chances are there will be a reciprocal effect, or so is the hope. Do I want to boost sales? Of course I do. Do I want to boost other’s sales? Why not. It’s called karma.
Some free book offers require a newsletter sign-up, which is a small non-monetary price to pay to try out a new indie author.
Here are this week’s promos to check out:
Featured Authors
Chris Sarantopoulos is a Greek writer who learned to communicate in English almost at the same time he started using his native language. He studied Geology in Scotland (you may hear him say aye a couple of times), then decided to diversify and completed a Master’s degree in Service Management. He almost started a PhD, but that didn’t work out. He enjoys writing science fiction, particularly post-apocalyptic fiction and cyberpunk, but also dystopia, fantasy, high fantasy, dark fantasy, and horror (not the splatter type though).

M. Rothmus
Rothmus is a doctoral student in Europe. Originally from the Middle East, his writing fuses the political and philosophical concepts of voluntaryism, individualism, propertarianism, and free will with the futuristic elements of science fiction and post-State societies.
Influenced by the works of Heinlein, Asimov, Herbert, Vonnegut, Rand, and Moore, he writes in the political, metaphysical, and dystopian science fiction genres.
