Well, it finally happened. It snowed, and boy did it ever. With the ground being cold and temperatures expected to remain below freezing . . .winter has arrived.
I’m not complaining. Not yet.
Last winter we had record snowfall which lead to me having to shovel a lot, and I mean a lot, of snow.
I’m not complaining. Not yet. It is good exercise if you like that kind of thing. I’d just prefer that it wasn’t as cold as it can get.
I enjoy winter. Winter biking (have to put the studded tire on now), snowshoeing (have to wait for the river to freeze), and winter running (when there is no wind, the sun is out, and it actually kinda feels nice), these are the activities I look forward to. But, we have to get through this odd transition period first.
No, not the mid-term hangover … I don’t have to worry about that.
I’m Canadian.

he story behind Free Book Friday:
I’ve met many authors and readers during my time marketing, cross-promoting, and blogging. I think writers have a responsibility to inform readers about all the indie authors out there in the very crowded world of book publishing. You can’t do it alone, and why would you when you have a supportive group available?
Readers don’t just read one author – they stick with their favorite genres. There lies the power in cross-promotion. If one of my readers buys a book from an author I promote, then chances are there will be a reciprocal effect, or so is the hope. Do I want to boost sales? Of course I do. Do I want to boost other’s sales? Why not. It’s called karma.
