There is a radio show on CBC here in Canada that occasionally does a feature called SYNTH: Songs You Need To Hear.
Now, I can’t say to someone, “You’ll like this song” (or book for that matter) because I can’t presume that others will share my taste in music (or books), so it is safer to say, “You might like this” and if they don’t like it, so be it.
Maybe you will find a new favorite.
If you don’t know who Arkells is, then you are probably not from Canada. If you are not from Canada, you probably don’t know where Hamilton is. If you don’t know where Hamilton is, you’re lucky. If you are not from Toronto (or anywhere in Canada), you won’t get that joke.
Wait. Arkells is or Arkells are?
Hmm. Good question. Probably ‘is’ because we are talking about the group.
It still sounds odd. They should call themselves The Arkells.
The are not a family with the surname Arkell. The band is named after a street.
Gotcha. Can we hear them now?
Sure.
Arkells is a Canadian rock band, formed in Hamilton, Ontario. They have released six albums, two EPs and a number of singles that have charted in Canada.

I’d never heard of them before and they don’t really stand out for me, I’m afraid. Over here, Arkell’s is a well known brewery – now that’s much more fun 🤣
