Yesterday, the UK lost their Queen. In a way, the whole world lost a Queen.
I don’t remember ever not having the Queen in the world. Growing up in Canada, she was always a presence, on our money, hung up in important places, involved in our government. She visited Canada more than any other country and for the most part was always well received. we would gather around the TV when she gave her annual address.
I always thought that Queen Elizabeth seemed like a kind and caring person. That was what she showed to the world. I don’t think I would ever want to see her angry.
There are two thoughts when it comes to the royal family, you are either for them or see no need for them. Hundreds of years of royal rule is a tough habit to break from.
In the end, she was a mother, a grandmother, and a great great grandmother.
My book is still on sale, but now it is $4.20! How low can it go?
I slightly changed the Kindle version of my poetry book (I still couldn’t get some of the images to line up exactly where I wanted them) and will have the paperback ready soon.
The story behind Free Book Friday:
I’ve met many authors and readers during my time marketing, cross-promoting, and blogging. I think writers have a responsibility to inform readers about all the indie authors out there in the very crowded world of book publishing. You can’t do it alone, and why would you when you have a supportive group available?
Readers don’t just read one author – they stick with their favorite genres. There lies the power in cross-promotion. If one of my readers buys a book from an author I promote, then chances are there will be a reciprocal effect, or so is the hope. Do I want to boost sales? Of course I do. Do I want to boost other’s sales? Why not. It’s called karma.
