Weekend Wrap-up Aug 6: No News is Good News?

Where do you get your news? Local stations? Internet news platforms? Late night talk shows? Twitter? Newspapers?
Newspapers? What is this paper of news you speak of?
Well, there are these stacks of thin paper which you can’t read outside in the wind, and when you are done, your fingers are all black from the ink that doesn’t adhere to the surface.
When can you get these “newspapers”?
Well, you used to get them everyday on your doorstep.
Used to?
Now, they are only on the weekend in many areas.
So, I have to wait until Saturday morning to find out what happened on Sunday or Monday?
Yup.
That doesn’t sound practical.
Well, you do get a whole section of cartoons that they call the funny pages.
Great! Are the funny?
No. Not really. That ended with The Far Side and Calvin and Hobbes.
