Matthew Good has one of the most distinct voices in rock. Never heard of him? Probably because he’s Canadian.
Many songs have an ethereal quality to them. Most are edgy. He likes his dissonance.
Matthew Good Band was a Canadian alternative rock band formed in Coquitlam, British Columbia in 1995. The band consisted of singer-songwriter/guitarist Matthew Good, guitarist/keyboardist Dave Genn, drummer Ian Browne and bassist Geoff Lloyd. Lloyd was replaced by Rich Priske in 1998. They disbanded in 2002.

Another new band for me. I can’t say that they instantly grabbed me – maybe they are a slow burner.

As with many bands, I prefer the earlier albums, and I don’t feel I need to try to like the others.

I’ll give them another try, and thanks for the tip. A lot of bands run out of steam and can’t develop, that isn’t uncommon.
