NaPoWriMo : Day 6 (Read it Again)

NaPoWriMo

Poetry Prompt:  Make that line the title of your poem. Write a poem inspired by the line. Then, after you’ve finished, change the title completely.

Instead of a line, I decided to write about how some authors are able to write words that can endure even as the time in our lives keeps moving forward.

Again

I missed it the first time
I found it the second time
The third time I fell asleep

But I already knew what happened

The fourth time didn’t lose its charm
The fifth time still strong
The sixth time was a long time separated
From the fifth

Some books are meant to be shared
This one goes back on my shelf
Until
The seventh time
Comes around

Have an extra minute? Read it (again) on Medium: Day 6 (yes, I do get paid/read.)

I will be posting my poems here: linesbyleon.com/national-poetry-writing-month/ I hope you will drop by!
