NaPoWriMo Eve: That’s National Poetry Writing Month!

It begins tomorrow. I’m still plugging away at NaNoWriMo so I guess I should call it National Novel Writing Months. I’ve also done Inktober – that I finished.

Not sure what to expect. Will my creations be poignant? Perhaps. Humorous? Good chance of that. Cynical and sarcastic? What. Moi?

I may experiment with different forms of poetry, but that depends on the prompt that is given. I don’t usually follow specific structures in my writing; I don’t set out to write a certain rhyming scheme, it just happens as it happens. Here was my attempt at structure:

When writing Haiku
When do you get to the point
Of not counting fing—
(@%*&!)

I will be posting my poems here: linesbyleon.com/national-poetry-writing-month/ I hope you will drop by!
