Weird Wednesday: Math and Cartoons

I like math. I’m not great at it, but it is fascinating. Like how the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter always gives you pi. And not just that, pi never ends. So, when you think about it, you’ll never be able to get an equal piece of that pie.

The other weird math thing I’d like to bring up is the nine’s times table. C’mon. Didn’t you have to memorize all the facts on the times table up to 12 X 12? (That’s 144, by the way). I still have to think about some of them. I remember all my doubles without thinking, but there are a few that just never stuck. Math would have been so much easier—and quicker— it I could remember all the facts.
